Various features that are still available using the "legacy" version of Outlook may not be currently available using the "new" Outlook version. As a result, many users opt to revert back to the "legacy" version of Outlook.
Known features that are NOT currently available with the "new" Outlook include:

Contact lists.

Public Folders.

Local Folders.
-
Export/Import of .olm and .pst files.

Rich flagging, mark complete & set reminders.
-
Notes & Tasks views not natively available.
-
Auto-Expanding Online Archive Support.

Events and contacts can't be moved or copied between accounts.
-
Unable to use "Send as" or "Send on behalf of" in an Office 365 Group.
-
No sound notifications.
Switch from the "New" version of Outlook to the "Legacy" version of Outlook: |
Method 1:
- Open Outlook and click on ‘Outlook’ on the top-left corner.
- Then deselect the ‘New Outlook’ option from the list.
- Click on "Revert" from within the pop up window that asks "Are you sure you want to revert to the legacy version of Outlook?"
Before switching back, you may have the opportunity to provide feedback on the experience and to create an in-app reminder for when additional features become available.
Your current Outlook will be closed and Outlook should reopen. You may be prompted to sign in again.
Method 2:
- With Outlook open, click on "Help" from the top menu bar.
- Click on "Revert to the Legacy Outlook" of Outlook as seen below.
- Click on "Revert" from within the pop up window that asks "Are you sure you want to revert to the legacy version of Outlook?"
