How do I connect to a network drive from a Mac?

Note: If working remotely, you will need to connect your Mac computer to VPN before being able to access a campus network drive.
  1. Find Go in the top menu bar.

  2. Click Connect to Server… (⌘+K).

  3. Type smb: + name of the server (e.g. smb://superman).
    • NOTE: If you are unaware of what share to connect to. You can navigate from the root of //superman.
    • TIP: Click the button to save frequently used network drive paths for future use.

  4. Type your UNCSA ID and your Password if prompted and hit connect.

  5. Select the share from the list.

    • NOTE: While all of the folders on "superman" are visible, you can only see the content of folders specifically shared with you.
