How do I connect to a network drive from a Mac?
Note:
If working remotely, you will need to connect your Mac computer to VPN
before
being able to access a campus network drive.
Find
Go
in the top menu bar.
Click
Connect to Server…
(⌘+K).
Type
smb: + name of the server
(e.g.
smb://superman
).
NOTE: If you are unaware of what share to connect to. You can navigate from the root of //superman.
TIP: Click the
+
button to save frequently used network drive paths for future use.
Type your
UNCSA ID
and your
P
assword
if prompted and hit connect.
Select the share from the list.
NOTE: While all of the folders on "superman" are visible, you can only see the content of folders specifically shared with you.
